The annual Toys for Tots Jingle Bell 5k Run benefits the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, a 63-year-old toy-donation charity.
Saturday, December 18th at Adobe Dam Regional Park in Glendale, Arizona, runners will be decked-out and wearing shoes tied with jingle bells.
Awards will be given to the top three men and women overall, and within age groups from 5 to 80. Kids are welcome to walk or run.
Runners are encouraged to dress up and bring a new, unwrapped child's gift to be donated to the Toys for Tots. Runners can trade one toy for one raffle ticket and get the chance to win prizes from sporting goods stores.
Beside the race you can drop off your Toys for Tots donations at retail businesses such as Toys "R" Us, Pier 1 and Build-A-Bear.
The national organization hopes to raise $4 million by the end of this year.
