Weekend Events in Arizona's Valley of the Sun

It is another gorgeous weekend with temperatures reaching the mid to high 80s in the valley of the sun. This weekend the valley offers so many events it will be a tough decision as to what you want to do. Along with The Goodguys Rod and Custom Car Show, The Ostrich Festival, The Professional Bull Riding and the Renaissance Festival that we have told you about in previous blogs, the following are a few of the events also happening in the valley this weekend:

28th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Family Faire - March 12, 2011 3rd Street Virginia to Margaret T. Hance Park, parade at 10 am with pipe bands, marching bands, floats, Irish step dancers, Faire follows parade until 6 pm, $10, 2 stages of Irish music and dancers, crafts, genealogy, Irish clubs, kids area.

13th Annual Spring Art & Culinary Festival - Litchfield Park - March 12 - 13 - Live musical performances, fine arts and crafts, first class wine tasting and culinary demonstrations by top Valley chefs, outdoor festival, original works of art by more than 200 artisans, free, 10 am – 5 pm.

17th Annual Aloha Festival - Tempe - Tempe Town Lake -March 12 - 13 -  A celebration of Hawaiian culture featuring music, entertainment, island crafts, games for the entire family plus Hawaiian foods, free, 10 am – 5 pm.

Bravo Peoria! Celebrating 100! – Peoria - Sunrise Mountain Library, (21109 N. 98th Ave., 85382) - March 12 - an Arizona Centennial adventure featuring artists, authors, antiques and activities, 9 am – 4 pm.

11th Annual Southwest Regional Alpaca Show - Phoenix - State Fairgrounds - Vendors will be on hand to showcase their wares and guests will have the opportunity to view and pet these unique creatures, halter, photo and fiber art competitions free.
