Downtown Glendale AZ Merchants Host Mother’s Day Celebration

Mom might tell you that being loved by her family is all she could ask for on Mother's Day. Good to know Mom's consistent!

The fact remains, this is the one day of the year to celebrate Mom officially, so  sure that this is an enjoyable and memorable occasion for Mom!

One option: Downtown Glendale Merchants Host Mother’s Day Celebration.

A single flower or a full bouquet is waiting for Mom on her special day thanks to Glendale’s downtown merchants. On Saturday, May 7, moms can browse the unique shops and eateries of downtown Glendale, building their own bouquet as they go.

Mothers, and those who love them, are encouraged to start their day at the Glendale Visitor Center, 5800 W. Glenn Dr., Suite 140, to pick up a map, and while supplies last, gift bags and free flowers just for moms. More than 20 area merchants will also offer free flowers so that after a day of browsing and shopping, Mom can assemble a full bouquet of the flowers with the help of the florists at Glendale Flowers.

The Mother’s Day Celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Those hours also correspond with the season’s final Artwerks First Saturdays. First Saturdays showcases artists at work in the renovated walkway just east of downtown Murphy Park at 58th Avenue.  Attendees at the downtown events are encouraged to bring new or gently used books to donate. The books can be dropped off at the Glendale Visitor Center. The book drive benefits Glendale Public Libraries.  The Annual Mother’s Day Celebration is presented by the Glendale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the historic downtown business community.

A Happy Mother's Day wish for all Mothers! glitter graphics
